Field Trip!
Even though Children's Garden is only about five miles from where our families live, some of our children had never been to a park before. Several mothers with their babies followed us to find out where a park was located. Eating pizza, getting wet in the sprinklers, and hanging out with the students from Spring Valley Baptist Church, were the highlights for our children. Everyone acted out the story of Zaccheus learning that Jesus loves helping us start over. "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
Water Balloons and Moon Pies
With the help of a ladies class from Shandon Baptist Church, many our youngest children got to experience Vacation Bible School on site where they live. A few of these children have just moved into the park and this was their first bible study they had ever attended. Our prayer is that in the middle of relay races, snacks and crafts, they learned of God's unfailing love for them.
School Supplies Needed
In the next two weeks we will be collecting school supplies for the chidlren in our bible study sites who could otherwise not afford them. Parents continually thank us for providing these items for the new school year. One mother told me her daughter slept with her bookbag beside her the week before school started.
